District Specialist I (permanent full-time)

Osage County Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking a full-time permanent District Specialist I. The Osage County Soil & Water District provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers in Osage county to implement best management practices to control soil erosion and protect water quality. Funding is provided through the Missouri Parks, Soils and Water sales tax. The position is responsible for management and administrative duties including, but not limited to: customer relations, accounting, payroll, state cost-share contracting, correspondence and coordinate information/educational field events. Applicant must have a firm understanding of farming and agricultural practices.  Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Publisher is required. Must be able to work independently, multi-task and have time management skills. High school diploma or GED required; college degree is preferred. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and pass a security background check. Benefits include retirement, vacation, sick leave, health, dental and vision insurance.
